Magic Moments

It's summer and today it actually feels like summer. Just two days ago the boys wore mittens when they played outside. Summer has brought about a huge amount of laziness on my part as I feel like we haven't done much of anything. The boys were productive today as they decided they needed to "work." Aiden wanted his own real tools for his birthday including his own drill and Pappy and Marme delivered. The drill is actually an electric screw driver that looks like a drill bc oh my goodness, he isn't ready for a drill! Anyway, working for the boys means they head to the garage and build who knows what. I was recently told they were building a storm trooper ship. Every so often I have to encourage more creativity because I can't be running to Home Depot everyday to rummage through their discount wood pile to appease their every whim. And we can't really use the garage until every single nail has been removed from the floor. Such is life with boys. ...

This is my long overdue post announcing that we are going to be welcoming our 3rd boy into our family!!! We are sooooo excited! We would be excited either way, but truth be told Tom and I were a little bit afraid of having a girl. There is wisdom in sticking with what you know so we're honestly a little bit glad that we aren't treading on all new territory with this new little one. I love the idea of three little boys so no one needs to feel pity for me that I'll never have a daughter.  I don't mind chasing after them and since I already have 2 with unending energy I might as well add a third and not have to worry about dividing my time to do girl and boy things. And, I'll be totally honest, although I would have gladly shared the spotlight with a daughter, I am the apple of Tom's eye and now I get to continue to have him all to myself. ;) Tom always likes to look at the ultra sound first to see if he can figure out if we are having a girl or a boy. When it comes to including Tucker, picture perfect moments like these don't happen very often (really, hardly ever). So when they do I make a mad dash for my camera and capture what I can.

Dear Legos, Thank you for your directions that are easy to follow. Thank you for the learning opportunities you provide and for the hours of play. You are almost a perfect toy except that I find you in my bed, in my fridge, and all over my floors. It hurts so bad to step on you. But, because I love it when these two little boys are entertained, I'll forgive you.
