Hitched!

My sister is married! The wedding was beautiful and so was the bride. I did terrible at taking snap shots...hopefully I'll be able to share better pictures once we get them from the photographer. Meanwhile, Aiden and I are spending the week with Pappy and Marme getting spoiled. See ya all later!

Developmental Explosion

I feel like the last week and a half has been somewhat of a developmental explosion for Aiden. He's learning so much....clapping, dancing, signing, talking. He started signing "all-done" this past week and he'll say "all-done" too....it's more like "ah-duh" or just "duh" but he knows what he's saying and he's trying so hard! He also tries to say ball ("bah") and "hi." I'm pretty sure he is waving cause every time he sees himself in the mirror he waves his arm. Without further ado.....here is my little smarty pants showing off his skills signing and saying "all-done."

The Mommy Diaries Part X --A Trilogy

You can all picture the mother who is classified as a little obsessive. She keeps every single one of her kids pictures they color and organizes them in a binder. She writes the date and the age on the back of every snap shot. Her kids always wear socks that exactly match their outfits. Well, I'm not one of those moms. The art work Aiden has done so far is in a box, I've already forgotten how old Aiden is in most of the pictures I've taken, and I'm lucky if I even get socks on Aiden everyday. He's such a squirmy worm that I'm all worn out by the time I wrestle him into his shirt and pants that he goes without socks a lot of the time. However, there is one thing (well, probably more than one thing but only one thing I'm going to blog about) that I am a little anal about. I am obsessive about Aiden's toys. I cannot stand it if one toy is missing....especially if it's part of a set. When we (I) pick them up at night I'm doing a mental inven...

Happy Hearts Day!

We're a little belated in sending out our Valentine's Day wishes! We had a busy weekend so you'll have to forgive our tardiness. Aiden celebrated by bringing a balloon to his Valentine, baby Elyse. Aiden also got a balloon for Valentine's Day from Mama and Dada. He loves to play with it! Aiden says "I LOVE YOU" Pappy and Marme, and Grandmommy and Grandpa, and Great Grandma and Great Grandpa! See you soon!" Cheese! Aiden got his 9 month pictures taken on Saturday. I'll post the link when I get it so you can see it! We have a busy week ahead as we're getting ready for Auntie Mae's wedding on Saturday!

Thursday

1. Aiden learned to roar like a lion. When we read his "zoo book" he copies us when we roar. It's cute. 2. Aiden played in the toilet. He snuck in while my back was turned (cleaning out the diaper pail in the shower). It was NOT cute. 3. Our vaccuum broke... actually, make that exploded. Guess what I'm getting for Valentine's Day? 4. I was in the shower and was feeling very grumpy b/c our vaccuum broke/exploded. When I got out I found a note written on the steamy mirror. It read: "We love mama!" After that I wasn't as grumpy. 5. Tom and I are going to watch a movie. Drillbit Taylor...it'll probably be stupid but it has Owen Wilson in it so it can't be all that bad...hopefully it'll at least be funny. 6. Tomorrow it's Friday! WOo HOo!

If You're Happy and You Know it...

clap your hands! Aiden learned to clap yesterday after what seemed like weeks of working on it. He won't do it on command so I was only able to get a short clip. I'll find him playing with his toys and then he'll just stop to clap. It's very sweet. He showed off his skills today at baby storytime. I think he really liked the parachute game cause he clapped and clapped afterward.

Dancin'

Aiden has started to dance when music comes on. We even caught him movin' to the beat during church yesterday. It's pretty cute. I tried to catch a little on video, but he must get camera shy cause I was only able to capture just a little. I also taped it sideways...sorry. Mom...this one is for you!

Cruisin'

We bought Aiden a push toy at a garage sale yesterday and it took him no time at all to figure out how to use it. The down side is that he has a big goose egg on his forehead from ramming it into a wall and then face planting. I guess I will once again have to reschedule his 9 month pics due to bruises on his head. Overall, it was $1 well spent.

Aiden's 10 Random Things

My mama wants me to share 10 random things about myself b/c my friend, Renae , tagged me. Lets see.... 1. I can drink out of a bottle but I refuse to. I like mama's milk better. 2. Every night I sneak into mama and dada's bed and sleep with them. It's cozier. 3. I don't know why my mama buys me toys. I don't like my toys. I only like mama and dada's toys...the remote control, the dishwasher (which I can open by myself), the dryer, the nightlights, the computer, and the cell phones. 4. I take 2 baths per day. Mama worries that my skin will get dry, but I don't care. I take a bath at night cause mama says it's routine (and by that time my hair is plastered to my head cause I rub food in it). I take a shower in the morning with dada b/c I demand to. As soon as the shower starts I crawl into the bathroom and take the curtain out of the tub. Then I try to climb in and catch the water while I yell "dada!" I get all wet just doing that ...

25 Random Things

Lots of people are doing this on Facebook. Since I don't have facebook b/c I'm anti snoopboook...oops...I mean facebook...I thought I'd do it for fun on my blog. Here is my list of 25 random things about me. Aiden will post his random things later. He's in bed right now. 1. I really like Lima beans but I never told anyone as a child cause kids that liked lima beans got made fun of. 2. I slept with a stuffed animal until Aiden was born (she still sits on our bed). 3. My name is ONLY Jenny. My birth certificate says only Jenny. I was named after my great great grandma Jenny. 4. I am terrified of thunderstorms and tornados. Seriously, I have a diagnosed phobia of them. 5. I LOVE whole milk. 6. Before I die I want to swim with dolphins. 7. I played with barbies through the 9th grade. 8. During my 5th grade birthday party sleep over we played Bloody Mary in our basement bathroom mirror and to this day I'm scarred of our basement...especially in the dark. 9. ...

Nothing New

Not too much has been going on as of late. Aiden is still as cute as ever...at least we think so. We know that our blog has turned into a baby brag board, but we love all of you braggin' about your kiddos too, so we hope you don't mind. Plus, it's kind of a good way to have a scrap book of sorts. Anyway, Aiden can play ball! It's very cute. We throw the ball to Aiden and he throws it back. I don't have a video of that yet, but I did catch Aiden playing ball by himself yesterday. He was just throwing his balls and then chasing them, and then throwing them, you get the idea. He's learning that balls aren't the only thing he can throw....which has been interesting to say the least. :) Tom's parents are visiting tomorrow and I have a job interview on wed. Thursday we have a play date and on Saturday we have a HUGE garage sale to go to. That wraps up our week. I'll try to maybe start posting more interesting things like I used to....it's ...
