Teddy Bear Park

Sometimes (all the time) it stinks when Tom works around or even on Holidays. It leaves the boys and I to have guilty fun by ourselves while Daddy is away. But sometimes Tom's long hours almost seem worth it when he has a week off in mid September. It's so nice to have Tom all to ourselves for awhile. Wednesday and Thursday Tom watched one or both of the boys while I was here or there, at work, or out with one of the boys. Today was Fun Friday and we finally went to Stillwater. I can't believe it's taken me this long to visit. This sweet little town is just the kind of quaint place that I love. We started the morning at the most endearing place: Teddy Bear Park . SO CUTE! The perfect place for littles. The park is adorable, small, kept both boys entertained with age appropriate playgrounds, and is completely fenced in. I guess I'm a full fledged nerdy mom seeing that I have specific park requirements and preferences. After the park we had lunch at Leo's ...

The Good Ol' Days

The boys are up at the crack of dawn and usually fed and dressed by eight o'clock. We spend the morning reading books, playing and getting a start on the day's laundry and tasks. I hear the back door open and shut a million times and the boys run in and out of the house tracking in as much grass as possible. Sage totes his puppy everywhere, LOVES to mow the lawn with his mower and will melt your heart with his sweet, sweet little self. He isn't talking much but will loudly yell "GOAL!" during the family soccer game in the evening. I participated a little bit tonight and my Soccer talent matches Aiden's. The best time of the day is when Daddy comes home. We all wait for it and run to meet him at the door. Dinner with all of us at the table happens every night and you can be...

Still at H-O-M-E!

It had been way, WAY too long since we made the trek to Indiana to go to Grandmommy and Grandpa's house. As much as we desperately want them to move close to us, we see why they love living where they do. The area is beautiful with so many things to do. Aside from all the fun things we did, it was good to be H-O-M-E. Tom took a few trips down memory lane. We bored Aiden by driving by Tom's  High School, friend's houses and the Baker's Square where he had his first job. We got to soak in lots of love from Tom's parents and made lots of memories. I sadly have no pictures of the moment, but each morning (at the crack of dawn) the boys would help Grandmommy feed the birds. She had them well trained by the end of the week on where to put the food. And then the boys would stand by the door and make it their job to scare away the squirrels who would eat the bird seed. I know Grandmommy is good to the squirrels too so I think those squirrels were glad to see us leave. ...
