1. If you have to choose between food and sleep, you choose sleep.
2. If you miss the 10 o'clock news you figure it's no big deal because you can just watch it when it's replayed at 2 AM...after all, you'll be awake anyway.
3. You respond to emails at 3 AM.
4. When it would normally take you some time to fall asleep, you now fall asleep the instant your head it's the pillow.
5. You had an argument with your husband (who has worked the last two weekends until 2 AM and everyday in between) about who was the most tired. (Both of you secretly know that Mama won the argument hands down. )
6. It no longer matters to you that you have 4 loads of laundry to fold and put away.
7. At 4 o'clock in the afternoon you admit defeat, text your husband, and tell him to pick up an order of take out for dinner at the Chinese restaurant down the street.
8. At 4 AM, as a last ditch effort, you actually tried to help your baby find his thumb to suck on the off chance it might help him sleep.
9. You've been letting your three year old watch a couple cartoons in the morning while you get another few minutes (or an hour, but who's counting?) of shut eye.
10. Your mantra has become, "I'll sleep when I'm dead."
10.5 In all fairness I should add that Sage has slept like a rock star (in four, or close to five hour stretches) for 2 out of 3 nights. Please, please say a pray that the trend continues.
(I took on a challenge to blog everyday for the next 30 days. I highly doubt that will happen, but since I always have several blog posts swimming around in my head I thought I'd give it a try. I think it would be fun to look back at our life and my thoughts for an entire month. So, here goes nothing....)
