There is something to be said for the little years when you're living in the trenches surrounded by babies who take so much from you. It's those years that you stay home. Most of the time you're tied down by a nap schedule anyway and staying home is easier than leaving the house. I'm a homebody so staying home doesn't bother me so much. Aiden is getting older and staying home for days on end doesn't happen often even though Sage is still little and we've got a baby on the way. We're in the throws of soccer season and that's how we spend 3 nights a week...sitting at the soccer field. Along with seasonal soccer next week Aiden also has soccer camp all week so I'll get my first taste of living in the car and being the taxi mom.
All that to say these last few seasons of soccer have paid off and Aiden is turning into a little power house. His foot work is improving, his accuracy is improving, he' s got confidence and drive and he and a teammate have even started working together passing the ball when all the other kids are still just in one big pack on the field. We frequently get to cheer for all the goals he scores and he is in 7th heaven on soccer days.
