My blog has been silent for good reason. We arrived home last night after 8 days in Indiana with Tom's whole family celebrating Tom's parents 50th wedding anniversary. Prior to that I was busy preparing for our trip and today, after a wonderful jam packed week with 25 family members, I'm pretty tired. You can look for a blog about our trip sometime in the next week after I've slept and sorted pictures.
Despite just getting home we seized the day and went strawberry picking this morning. I thought we would miss the whole picking season so I was excited to find out our orchard was still allowing pick your own. It was a bonus that Tom was home and could go because since I'm a million months pregnant I was nervous about being able to climb onto a wagon to ride to the fields. ;) We picked a modest 8 pounds which is all I can manage to organize at home and enough time was spent on my hands and knees at the field. Of course we also bought strawberry donuts from their bakery and currently and Tom is busy making us juicy lucy burgers with his new burger maker courtesy of his mother. I think we'll be well fed today. He used almost 2 pounds of beef for 3 burgers so I don't think I'll need to make dinner tonight. We'll be stuffed. Anyway, here's my 3 sweet boys picking strawberries. It's my job to trail behind them in the field taking pictures and picking the multitude of strawberries that they miss.
