Cade. What can I say? Like all babies he's growing too fast. He's still a chunk. Someone this week thought he was 18 months. Even though he is wearing 18 and 24 month sized clothes, he is acting like an 8 month old so I thought that guess was a little far off. He's big, but he's not setting any records or anything. He is so interactive. He LOVES to mimic the boys and wants to do what they do. Even though he's a copy cat, he has a mind of his own. He still sleeps with Tom and I because he refuses his bed. He also refused to eat baby food. I think he hated the mush. So, he feeds himself tiny little pieces of cut up veggies, avocado, and fruit. So that's really fun to clean up after 3 times a day. I fed him little pieces of meat today for the first time and then couldn't figure out why he wouldn't nurse after lunch. Come to find out he did not chew up his meat, he just had it hiding in his cheek and I had to dig it all out. So, no more meat for awhile. The little stinker. This week he learned to clap his hands. It's adorable. He also started pulling himself up. He did it for the first time on the hearth of the fireplace, which is stitches waiting to happen, and again this morning on the couch. Cade has been army crawling around for a month but just this week he got up on his hands and knees and started crawling everywhere. Crawling is a really important developmental milestone so I breathed a sigh of relief when he finally got up on his hands and knees and made forward motion. Tom had been practicing with him for awhile and we're so excited that
he finally figured it all out! He loves to be where everyone is, has
lots of kisses for his mama, and is cutting his two top teeth. He's a
busy boy and exhausting to take care of, but we're treasuring his sweet
little baby self. Love him to pieces.
Cade LOVES the swing at the park. This video doesn't capture it all. He squeals with delight!

Already playing with the big boys. You'd think he'd be scared with the boys screaming in his face but Cade just gives it right back.

And my favorite. Cade claps his hands. It's just too cute. He was so proud of himself!
