The families from Aiden's soccer team all got together and went to a Columbus Crew soccer game together last weekend. It was a team building activity of sorts but also a chance for the boys to watch professional soccer players at work. We all had a great time! It was great to see the boys together off the field and it was so fun to see them all lined up with their eyes on the field. Their coach, who is the best and who never stops coaching, coached them throughout the game pointing out everything that was going on. Columbus Crew went into the second half three points behind but ended up tying the game before the end so it was an exciting game for sure. The boys cannot wait to go back. The team and siblings all got to high five the players and practice penalty kicks on the field at the end of the game. The man who coordinated our team attending got an email from the man who coordinates events for the Crew complimenting our boys on what a wonderful and polite team they were and how they were the first team to all thank him and shake his hand. Needless to say, we're really proud of their manners. The boys are all talking about when we can go again. It's soccer fever over at my house and with the World Cup just four days away I don't think the soccer talk is going to let up anytime soon.
