Cade is just past 8 weeks and I 'm still processing through his birth. Planning a C-section was never the original plan but after some serious conversations with my midwife the conclusion was it was probably the best plan. We made the wisest decision we could with the information we had. Labor is far different with a c-section as opposed to a natural birth. Being the birth hippie I am I was ready and wanting another all natural birth...my 2nd VBAC. But, that just wasn't in the cards this time around. I would say that the labor process was maybe a bit more mental with a c-section although a natural birth comes with much needed mental focus. But deciding to have a c-section was difficult and it took me time to wrap my mind around the fact that this baby was going to have a much different start to life than I had planned.
